About Us

 

After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1980 with a degree in mechanical engineering, Ron Brown worked for several years as a design engineer at Texas Instruments before branching out on his own as a custom homebuilder. The transition from homebuilding to granite in 2003 was a natural one, and Artistic Granite remains family owned and operated today.

The company prides itself on being family owned and operated. Son, Chris Brown is now acting manager, who holds a mechanical engineering degree from Purdue. Carrie, who took over her mother, Jane Brown, handles the bookkeeping and customer service aspects of the business.
